EFSA has updated the maximum intake values for Vitamin B6 and Selenium.
Recently the EFSA has published new scientific opinions revising the maximum tolerable intake levels of: Vitamin B6 Selenium.
While to date the maximum allowable intake level per adult was 300 μg for Selenium and 25 mg for Vitamin B6, following the publication of these rulings these values have been reduced, so that now the tolerable upper intake level for Selenium is 255 μg and for Vitamin B6 is 12 mg..
These EFSA scientific opinions are available at the following links:

It should also be noted that Directive 2002/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union and of the Council of 10 June on food supplements as well as EC Regulation 1925/2006 on vitamins, minerals and other substances that may be added to foods, provided for the adoption of specific values for the maximum and minimum levels of vitamins and minerals contained in food supplements, to date have not been established.
Therefore, these levels would have no legal value, but serve as a reference for risk management, both for food operators and control authorities, to comply with the obligation that only safe food can be marketed.
