Vitafoods Europe 2022: The global nutraceutical event
Vitafoods Europe is one of the most important trade fairs for the food industry, created in 1997 as a result of the growing demand from the nutraceutical industry. It brings together companies and food experts to present the latest developments in the sector, share challenges and offer new opportunities for collaboration and business.
This year, a total of 25,000 professionals from more than 126 countries participated and up to 700 exhibitors took part. In addition, because of the pandemic, it was held in a hybrid format, just like last year.
The main objective of this event is to enable companies to flourish and collaborate through conferences, networking events and exhibitions.
Topics covered at Vitafoods Europe
Due to the impact of the pandemic on the world, one of the main topics discussed has been mental wellbeing. As a result, Vitafoods Europe has organised a new summit to learn more about the role of nutrition in mental wellbeing.
In addition, the role of the gut microbiota from different perspectives, linking weight, diseases such as diabetes, and skin conditions, was a major theme of the event.
Issues such as new labelling and packaging regulations have also been addressed, with a focus on the role of nutraceuticals in women and the effects of prenatal food supplements on children’s mental health.
Finally, a topic that has been addressed and is becoming increasingly important in our society is sustainability. In this line, Vitafoods created the “Sustainability Corner”, where you could find sessions led by experts in the field.
Once again, Vitafoods Europe has established itself as the leading global event in the nutraceutical sector, where ideas, innovative ingredients and market links are shared with the aim of improving the quality of the sector.
From Legalego Nutrition we support the objectives of this event, and we collaborate with our services to achieve them.
