Notification of withdrawal of restricted products in Amazon

Have you received an email from Amazon regarding the withdrawal of restricted products in Amazon informing you that the sale of your food supplements is not allowed?

Sometimes, this sales platform withdraws food supplements because it considers that they are not allowed to be marketed. Specifically and after listing the products it withdraws, Amazon communicates by email with the subject “Notification of withdrawal of restricted products” that:

“ The sale of this product is not allowed on Amazon.com. For more information you can check this link:
https://www.aesan.gob.es/AECOSAN/web/seguridad_alimentaria/detalle/complementos_alimenticios.htm

 

If your product is currently registered in the AESAN database, or has been communicated to AESAN or the corresponding regional administration following the communication process required for food supplements, please send the following documentation to: [email protected].
– Proof that the product appears in the AESAN database or has been communicated to AESAN or the corresponding regional administration; and,
– Statement signed on paper with the company’s seal indicating the name and reference number of the product on Amazon (ASIN) and confirming that a) it has not received any dispute from AESAN or the competent authority regarding said product, and b) that if you receive any dispute about the product from AESAN or another authority, you will immediately notify Amazon “.

 

Amazon, therefore, considers that if the food supplement does not appear in the internal search engine or unofficial registry of food supplements of AESAN, its commercialization is not allowed and it prohibits its sale through Amazon.

 

In order to unblock the sale on Amazon, it is necessary to send them the sealed notification form of the food supplement by AESAN or by the corresponding Autonomous Community, as well as the statement indicating that there has been no requirement from the health authorities.

 

In the event that there has been any requirement from the health authorities, the response or appeal to that requirement must be sent. Well, the notification is correctly made.
