Amazon Restricted Product Recall Notification
Have you received a restricted product recall notification email from Amazon telling you that your dietary supplements are not allowed to be sold?
Occasionally, this sales platform withdraws food supplements on the grounds that they are not allowed to be marketed. Specifically, and after listing the products being recalled, Amazon communicates by email with the subject line “Notification of Restricted Product Recall” that:
“The sale of this product is not allowed on Amazon.es. For more information you can consult this link:
https://www.aesan.gob.es/AECOSAN/web/seguridad_alimentaria/detalle/complementos_alimenticios.htm
If your product is currently registered in the AESAN database, or has been communicated to AESAN or the corresponding regional administration following the communication process required for food supplements, please send to [email protected] the following documentation:
– Proof that the product appears in the AESAN database or has been communicated to AESAN or the corresponding autonomous administration; and,
– Signed statement on paper with the company’s seal indicating the product name and Amazon Product Reference Number (ASIN) and confirming that a) has not received any dispute from AESAN or the competent authority regarding such product; and b) that if you receive any dispute about the product from AESAN or any other authority, you will immediately notify Amazon.“.
Amazon, therefore, considers that if the food supplement does not appear in AESAN’s internal search engine or unofficial register of food supplements, it is not allowed to be marketed and prohibits its sale by Amazon.
In order to unblock the sale on Amazon, it is necessary to send them the notification form stamped by AESAN or by the corresponding Autonomous Community, as well as the statement indicating that there has been no requirement by the health authorities.
In the event that there has been any requirement by the health authorities, the response or appeal to that requirement must be sent. The notification has been correctly made.
